“ Al Ryan is such a special mediteranean food option in LYH! The owner is really personable and genuinly cares so deeply about his customers. It was so great to hear his heart and to see the joy he finds in his customers smiles. I had the Kofta sandwich, and it was so good! The fresh Hummus was AMAZING, and the friends that I visited with tried various things on the menu and all together it was a real hit! The owner is really health concious and sustainably minded. Please do not miss an opportunity to visit this location if you are in the area! ”
“ For sure a “mom and pop” type eatery. I believe it was just the owner there both serving and cooking the evening I was there. He was overwhelmed with patrons and ended up having to call some family friends in to assist him! Food was good, owner was very customer-centric and a joy a speak with and learn from! Will take my dad or sister here who would appreciate the food options offered here! ”
“ Lucky us decided to have dinner at Al Ryan. The owner was friendly and lovely to chat with. The Mediterranean food was fresh, organic, and made with local products. The hummus...some of the best we've ever had anywhere! Makloubi was delicious, the Greek salad had creamy feta on top, and my lamb kabob meal was very tasty. The pistachio and walnut baklava will disappear before morning. We left with another order of hummus and plenty of leftovers. We'll be back for more! ”

“ Literally the best falafel I’ve ever had. It was perfectly crunchy on the outside, and the inside was so fresh and green and moist. It was genuinely like it melted in my mouth. I love falafel, and it’s going to be hard for me to eat it any other way now that I’ve had it from this restaurant. The gentleman who owns and operates the place was so kind as to give me tips for making it at home, but I know I’ll never be able to make it as good as he does. He was very friendly and fun to talk to. I also got the hummus, Baba ghanoush (I probably misspelled that), and samosas, which were also delicious and you could tell it was all freshly made. The cigar place next door has got to be breaking health code violations or something, because they definitely don’t have appropriate ventilation, which unfortunately does mean you can smell a bit of the smoke from next door in this restaurant. I’m normally pretty sensitive to smoke, but I was able to eat inside without a problem—but it’s something to be aware of. If you’re worried about it, order it as takeout. I live about an hour away and will definitely be going back to eat here now that I’ve discovered I can get authentic middle eastern cuisine without spending 1k on a plane ticket. ”
“ Our server is the sweetest gentleman ever! We finished our amazing shawarma and I joke around we that I wanted more, and he brought out the tastiest piece of food (moussaka a) I have had in a while! Just to share with me!! I was so touched and I will be back just for that! ”
“ This little family owned gem is not to be missed. My server was the sweetest young man. Had the red lentil soup to start. I made a huge mistake; I ordered the cup instead of a vat(I mean bowl!) so delicious. I also had the lamb gyro, baklava and tea. My food was so good, I almost forgot to take pictures. ”
